ARRIVAL
The museum is easily reached by public transport, bicycle, or car.
Public Transport
Buses 717, 717A and 718 depart from Helsinki Central Railway Square (Rautatientori), platform 5 (via Kurvi and Lahdentie).
Stop: Sotungintie (V9425)
Bus 717 also operates from the Tikkurila direction.
From Mellunmäki metro station, take bus 587.
From Tikkurila railway station, take bus 736.
Bicycles
The museum can also be conveniently reached by bicycle. A bike rack is available in the courtyard. Several cycling routes run close to the museum area. Drinking water bottles can be refilled at the Home Museum or café.
Cars
There is no general visitor parking in the museum courtyard, except for two designated spaces for visitors with reduced mobility. To maintain safety and preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the exhibition grounds, we kindly ask all other visitors not to drive into the courtyard.
Free parking is available at Hakunila Sports Park (Luotikuja 1). From there, a paved footpath along the southern slope leads directly to the museum area.
ACCESSIBILITY
Two marked parking spaces for visitors with reduced mobility are located in front of the Atelier Gallery. Visitors with special mobility needs are kindly asked to contact us in advance: info@lailapullinen.fi
The museum grounds are partially accessible. The area has level gravel paths, and the sculpture park consists mainly of lawn areas, where movement with mobility aids such as wheelchairs is possible. The Home Museum and Atelier Gallery have a few entrance steps. The Home Museum entrance has a handrail. The visitor restroom, located in the Home Museum, is not accessible. The Makasiini building has a ramp, which ends with a single step down.
Indoor spaces cannot accommodate strollers, but the outdoor sculpture park can be visited with prams and pushchairs. Strollers may be left on the Home Museum veranda. Kick scooters, skateboards, and similar equipment are not allowed indoors.
